This Privacy Policy explains how the cosmetic surgery practice of Dr. Sean Satey, MD, FACS ("the Practice," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit this advertising website and submit our consultation request form. By using this site, you agree to this Policy.
Important: this site vs. your medical records (HIPAA)
This is a marketing website. Information you submit through the consultation form before you become a patient is contact and inquiry information — it is generally not protected health information ("PHI") under HIPAA, and this form is not a secure medical-records portal. Please do not submit detailed medical history, diagnoses, or sensitive health information here. Once you become a patient of the Practice, information created in the course of treatment is handled under the Practice's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices in the clinical setting, which is separate from this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the consultation request form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the procedure you're interested in, your preferred location, and any goals or questions you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our analytics/advertising providers automatically collect standard technical and usage data — IP address and approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, scroll and click activity, referring source, and identifiers stored in cookies (including a Google click identifier, "gclid", when you arrive from an ad).
How we use your information
We use your information to (a) respond to your inquiry and schedule and follow up about a consultation; (b) operate, secure, and improve this site; and (c) measure and improve the performance of our advertising. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Communications & consent to be contacted (phone, text, email)
When you submit the form, you authorize the Practice to contact you about your consultation by phone call, text message (SMS), and email at the contact details you provide, including by automated means where applicable. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of receiving any service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We will still send transactional messages needed to respond to your request.
Advertising, analytics & cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags to understand how visitors arrive and interact with our pages and to measure advertising performance. These tools set cookies and collect the usage data described above. If you arrive from a Google ad, the "gclid" click identifier may be stored in a cookie so we can measure which ads lead to consultation requests; this is reported to Google in aggregate, and for booked consultations a click identifier and value may be uploaded to Google Ads without any medical details or other personal identifiers. We also use Cloudflare and Cloudflare Turnstile to deliver the site and protect the form from spam and abuse.
We do not use sensitive or health information to build advertising audiences, and we do not run remarketing based on the specific procedure you viewed. You can control cookies in your browser and opt out of personalized Google advertising at myadcenter.google.com, and install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we share information
We share information only with: (a) the Practice and its staff to respond to your request; and (b) service providers that operate this site and our advertising on our behalf — currently Cloudflare (hosting, security, form delivery), our email delivery provider, and Google (analytics and advertising). These providers may process your information only to provide their services to us. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for value. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.
Data retention
We keep consultation-form submissions only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for reasonable business and recordkeeping purposes, after which we delete or de-identify them. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's settings (currently 14 months for event-level data).
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards (including encryption in transit) to protect the information you submit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights (including California)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of the personal information you submitted, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make a request. We honor browser-based opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.

Children's privacy
This site and its services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above, and your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
